The success of the MAF conference series, reflects the enormous progress that has been made in fluorescence over the last few decades. Topics covered include new developments in (lifetime) spectroscopy, imaging (including microscopy), and probe design, but also in nanomaterials (including beads and thin films), opto-electronic components, in data acquisition and processing. The widespread applications of fluorescence are also covered, for example in life sciences where it complements (and competes with) other techniques.

MAF impact factor: 2.656

In this issue we plan to present a selection of the most exciting work presented at the conference. Articles submitted for publication should contain original research which is not substantially similar to work published elsewhere. All articles will be peer reviewed to international journal standard.
