MAF2017 will take place in Bruges, Belgium, from September 10 to 13, 2017!


We advise to park in the Centrum-Station car park, located by the railway station. This car park has a capacity of 1,500 cars. The following rates apply: € 3,50/24 h including a bus ride to the centre and back. Walking distance to the centre of Bruges is approximately 10 minutes. 

From the train station to the centre:
The train station is situated close to the historical centre.

  •  10 minutes on foot to 't Zand square (start of the shopping streets)
  •  20 minutes to the market square (Markt)


London-Bruges by Eurostar in 3.05 hours, one transfer in Brussels (station Midi/Zuid).

Also one transfer at Brussels (Midi/Zuid) when coming from other European cities like Amsterdam, Paris, Rotterdam, Cologne and Luxembourg (Thalys offers a frequent service to Paris and Cologne).

Multiple direct connections each day from Brussels, Ghent and Antwerp, but also from other Belgian cities to Bruges.

Via Brussels Airport

  •  The national airport receives flights from over 200 destinations in 66 countries every day.
  •  It's easy to travel from Brussels national airport to Bruges by train.
    A direct connection is introduced to Bruges that runs every hour (only on weekdays).  
    You can also take the Brussels Airport Express ( 4 trains per hour) to Brussels North,  Central or South. 
    From those stations, there are three trains every hour to Bruges with final stops in either Ostend or Knokke/Blankenberge. 
    Please consult the website of the Belgian Railways (NMBS) for information about schedules and fares.
  •  Taxi rides to and from Brussels national airport by Bruges taxi firms, with prior reservation, cost EUR 200 (flat rate).
    Prices may vary throughout the year.

Via Brussels South Charleroi Airport

  •  The popular regional airport receives several low-cost flights daily from various other cities and regions across Europe.
  •  Coach service offers a direct shuttle bus to and from the station of Bruges with a frequency of 9 trips a day (there and back). 
    Using this service, you will travel more comfortably, it's cheaper and often also faster than other transport alternatives (train, combination of train and bus). 
    Booking is cheaper online and additional charges might apply when purchasing tickets on the bus or at the airport.
  •  Taxi rides to and from Brussels South Charleroi Airport by Bruges taxi firms, with prior reservation, cost EUR 250 (flat rate).
    Price adjustments are possible throughout the year.

Via Ostend-Bruges Airport

  •  Ostend-Bruges Airport is in full development and is systematically expanding its range of services.
    It takes 15 minutes to Ostend railway station by bus.
    From there, there are at least three trains per hour to Bruges with final stops in Eupen, Welkenraedt, Brussels national airport, Antwerp-Central or Kortrijk between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m.
    Travel time to Bruges is approx. 15 minutes. Please visit the Belgian Railways (NMBS) website for information on schedules and fares.
  •  Taxi rides to and from Bruges are provided by Bruges and Ostend taxi companies, subject to prior reservation, at the flat rate of EUR 70.
    Prices may vary throughout the year.
